1. Lodging: As it will be a holiday weekend and one of the last with summer weather in the mountains, lodging accommodations will book earlier than normal. We suggest arranging your travel and stay ASAP.
2. Flights: We suggest using Google Flights and Hopper. Hopper is a free app that tracks the cost of airline tickets, car rentals, and hotel rooms over time, and will alert users when it is most affordable time to book. If flying, you can choose between Denver International Airport (DIA) or Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) as your destination.
3. Driving: There will be traffic driving into the mountains Friday afternoon & evening due to the holiday weekend. We recommend making your drive out of Denver anytime Thursday, Friday morning or early Saturday, at the latest.
There will also be traffic Monday, returning to Denver from the mountains. Please plan accordingly to make flights home from DEN!
4. Other: Drink plenty of water to better adjust to the altitude. Vail sits at 8,150 ft. above sea level. For reference, Cincinnati is at a whopping 482 ft.!
The Epic Shuttle System is ideal for those who prefer to not rent a car and plan to stay in Vail proper. This will put individuals in walking distance of the weekend's activities as well as restaurant / bar and shopping options.
The Epic Shuttle will pick guests up at the Denver International Airport and drop you off at any Vail Resorts property.
As a wedding guest, you can choose to use the shuttle option, even if you do not stay at a Vail Resorts property. You will simply pick the Vail Resorts property closest to your accommodation as your drop off & pick up point.
(The Vail Resorts properties to choose from are the following: The Arrabelle, The Lodge at Vail, and the Ritz Residencies in Lionshead.)
Add your flight time(s) to start your reservation. Once you land, the shuttle will be ready to pick you up! Book "roundtrip" to have a ride from Vail back to the Denver Airport.
Shuttle prices start at $40 per person (per way), and drop slightly if you book as a group (up to 12 per van).
1. For convenience, you can book a rental car with pick-up and drop-off at the Denver International Airport.
2. A more affordable option is to book a rental car with pick-up closer to the Denver city center. This will require transportation to the rental car agency, but daily rates drop can drop as low as $25 per day!
3. Try Turo! Turo is a car sharing platform that allows car owners to rent out their own vehicles to travelers - like Airbnb for cars. Many owners offer discounts for longer trips, and some offer discounts to guests who book in advance.
This option provides the most convenience as the reception will take place right outside the Arrabelle!

There are many additional options to consider, either waking distance from the venue (if staying on the Lionshead side), or a 15 minute walk / 5 minute drive from the venue (on the Vail Village side).
If you'll have your own car, you can also checkout other nearby mountain towns - Eagle, Avon, or Minturn.
Whether booking a hotel room or checking Airbnb, we recommend booking early!
